I started with Soccer and then started paying kickball. The games were fun. However, the social aspect of CASL is where the club really excels. The games are a great leveler, meaning you always have something in common when chatting with your competitors at the post-game socials. Plus it’s a lot of fun to see the competition spill over from the diamond to the dancefloor! As a Cape Cod “washashore”, CASL has given me a great sense of place in my new community. I have built life-long friendships, and I have even made connections for my local business. I am grateful to Shaun, the town, and to the sponsors for making a club like this possible on Cape Cod.

Joining CASL was one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent years. I’ve made amazing friends that I would have never met, if not for the league. As someone that never played sports growing up I thought it would be intimidating to join but it’s very welcoming and truly about having fun…mixed with some friendly competition. There’s something for everyone!

I felt a little nervous and wasn’t sure what to expect when I came across my first dodgeball game in December. I was new to the area and I was looking to meet more people around my age on the Cape. It was a great experience. From there, I joined floor hockey, kickball, and participated in the Nantucket brewery tour. Met so many new people and a lot became good friends. All in all CASL is doing a great job and I look forward to see what CASL has in store for the future.

I have made more friends in 1 year with CASL than in the 15 years prior living on the Cape. Everyone I have met is super friendly and shares the same interests. CASL has given me more opportunities for avtivities and events per week than I would have in a year before it was around.I might have gone out once a month before CASL, but now I go out weekly with the friends that I have made from the league. It has grown my social circle a lot. All in all CASL is great fun, good exercise, with some fantastic people. It is one of the best things that I have been involved with on Cape

I just moved to the Cape in June and joined CASL as a way to meet new people who live on the Cape year round. I went into it not knowing anyone in the league (and not being super talented at kickball) and I was a little nervous about it. On day one I was pleasantly surprised by how outgoing and friendly everyone was- at no point did I feel awkward or like an outsider in the group. Though it’s only been a few weeks I can already tell joining was a great decision. The games are focused on fun for all and the post game socials are a great way to interact with a fun group of people. Its definitely a great way to meet new people and have something to look forward to during the week!

CASL has filled a much needed social and sports gap on C:ape Cod. The other leagues have been too competitive or demanding or on the other end of the spectrum too loosely coordinated. CASL offers the right mix. I’ve made more than 50 new contacts and friends during my first year. I have mentioned to many people that I had no idea that this many young people lived on the Cape that share my interests and hobbies. CASL is an incredible league that we all enjoy and look forward to see it grow.
