Time to get in the game

CASL dipped our toes into the Pickleball world late in the fall. We were hooked. A combo of Tennis and Ping pong led to a fast paced and exciting game. We have Friday Night Gym space now at the Ezra Baker school. We will have three courts line and with official sized pickleball nets. We will have some extra paddles for people that are not sure if they want to invest yet.We will play with a mix of Social, Tournament, and League Style play. We will do random drawings for groups of players. You will play with and against everyone in your group. Based off of results there you will be matched with another group of players and repeat the process. This will be a way to combine all skills levels so people can learn the game and then play with people close to their skill level at the end of the night. Everyone will receive points for their results and we will keep a running tally. This means it is not a big deal if you miss a week, your points will be there the next time you play. If we get enough players, we will work with sponsors for weekly prizes. We will be ready to go to outdoor courts when the weather improves. The whole idea is to have fun, learn the game, and get to meet some fellow players.

Impressed with Commitment and Support of CASL in the Community

Cape Cod suffers from a labor shortage. CASL is one of the few community resources that plays a big role in shaping our community and encouraging professionals to stay on Cape. Both as a CASL participant and a Human Resources professional, I have seen first hand the impact to the community that...

a Sense of community

CASL has provided me with a fun night out to get exercise, socialize, and meet new people. I think it's been a great way to foster a sense of community with local people close to my age range that I normally wouldn't get to interact with otherwise. It also provides a great opportunity to...

Picked picture for a reason

I chose that particular picture for a reason… Im from Plymouth, my now wife grew up in Centerville and lived in Dennis when I met her. Moving down here, while not THAT far from Plymouth, was a big change. In my mid thirties (that hurts to type knowing Im now even older), it was difficult to...

Glad I found CASL

My Fiancee and I found CASL last winter when a coworker asked us to be on his dodgeball team. We joined and couldn't have been any happier for it! I played dodgeball in middle school and I have some great memories from it, and CASL dodgeball brought all those back and then some. Last winter...

Great way to break up the week

It is great having a set plan every Wednesday and a nice break in the middle of the week. The social aspect really helped establish friends as an adult new to the cape.

Always a good time

This league is so diverse from all star athletes to grandparents. As a single mom it is my social outing and my fitness for the week. There is a great deal of camaraderie between opponents but also a healthy dose of competition. At the end if the night everyone congratulates one another and...

Wasn’t Sure What to expect

I felt a little nervous and wasn't sure what to expect when I came across my first dodgeball game in December. I was new to the area and I was looking to meet more people around my age on the Cape. It was a great experience. From there, I joined floor hockey, kickball, and participated in the...

Connect with Cape Community

I started with Soccer and then started paying kickball. The games were fun. However, the social aspect of CASL is where the club really excels. The games are a great leveler, meaning you always have something in common when chatting with your competitors at the post-game socials. Plus it's a...

Get in the Game

CASL kickball is something to look forward to every week - focus is always on fun, but there's always some low key competitiveness. I've made great friends, business connections and memories over the years.... Looking forward to another fun season.
