How would you rate the season. Give me your thoughts. The creating of rosters and scheduling was done in a way to create equal competition?(Required)Strongly disagreeDisagreeNeutralAgreeStrongly agreeAny Suggestions on how to make it more fair?We have talked of making a draft, or only doing small groups and mixing and matching them. The problem(Which isn’t a bad thing, is friends enjoy playing with each other) Most people came in as singles or small groups, but the ones that stay long term find their crew. They don’t want to leave. This is great for them, but also makes it more difficult to get free agents into a spot where they thrive. Not having umps for the league did not impact the matches being fair and fun(Required)Strongly disagreeDisagreeNeutralAgreeStrongly agreeAny thoughts on how to improve it?We used to get volunteer umps when we were at wixon. Having 3 games going at once and 2 rounds with different amount of teams makes it hard to get people to volunteer. It also takes the right personality to keep people in line. Even for the playoffs this last season, there were far too few volunteers to comfortably staff the umpiring. I could offer a discount or incentive for players to ump, but again it is important to not just get people, but to get the right people. The burden usually falls to such a small group of people. I do think umps are important to be a buffer, but all that is within reason too. CASL created an environment that made it easy to meet people in the league? Either with scheduling, vibe at gym, post game socials, league interactions.(Required)Strongly disagreeDisagreeNeutralAgreeStrongly agreeAny ideas on how to improve it?I do feel that free agents or new players coming into the league have a harder time of just fitting right in. The catch 22 of people joining the league and finding their crew. Sometimes once you have your group, it is not as enticing to meet more people. Try to remind everyone that you were once that person. They could have been your best friend if you two joined at the same time. Offering more social events, split team social games, etc are other ideas that I have on the brain Post Game SocialsThis was always an important part of CASL. Getting to know players beyond the court/field. I feel if you becomes friends away from the game, it also converts to making the games more fun. Playing against your buddies. I fear this might have become more cliquey recently though. Did you go to the Post Game Social at Sea Dogs? Always Sometimes once or twice I did not The post game social was a welcoming environemnt to all players. Easy to start up chats with all players from the league?(Required)I Strongly AgreeI agreeNeutralI disagreeI strongly DisagreeWhat are your thoughts on Seadogs for hosting Socials?BadNot GoodNeutralGoodGreatEase of finding a seatEase of interacting with lots of playersEase of getting serviceability to get foodOverall experienceWhat are your thoughts on Social Locations? Stay at Seadogs, it is so close Find a different sponsor within 8 min drive? Rotate sponsors throughout Season for variety. Your Future with Dodgeball and CASLAre you playing in the next season of Dodgeball? Yes No Maybe Will you play dodgeball again in the future? Yes No Maybe Will you play CASL again in the Future? Yes No Maybe Mind saying why? Anything that I could do to make it a better experience? What would you like to see CASL offer? More Sports Non Co-Ed Sports so just male or female More Social Events More interactive Post-Game Socials More Variety in Sponsors More tournaments Would you recommend CASL Dodgeball to your friends, family, coworkers? Absolutely Yes Ehhh No Absolutely Not Would you recommend the overall CASL League as an organization in general to friends, family, coworkers? Absolutely Yes Ehhh No Absolutely Not Any other ideas on what can be done to make CASL Dodgeball/League be a better organization? It has been over 10 years of the league running on Cape Cod. I think that is a brings us to a big crossroads for the future. The demographics of the Cape are not ideal for a social sports league. When I lose players for whatever reasons, there are not enough replacements on the Cape to grow or even keep pace. So please let me know what I can do to keep CASL around. Do you have a positive review on CASL Dodgeball: I am revamping the website and would love to have some good reviews to post on the page and help find new players. This would help a lot with recruiting….and my sanity
