Role Description The Certified Peer Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Winston-Salem, NC. This role involves using lived experience with recovery to provide hope, encouragement, and practical support to individuals receiving services. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with participants individually and in groups, offering emotional support, assisting with goal setting and recovery planning, and connecting individuals to resources in the community. The Specialist documents services accurately, collaborates with clinical and support staff, and participates in team meetings to coordinate care. The role also includes advocating for participant needs, helping to resolve challenges through problem-solving and troubleshooting, and maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality in all interactions.
